Sometimes someone may appear to be fine – happy, healthy, and successful, but that doesn’t always mean they’re not struggling. Millions of people have what can be called an invisible illness, whether that’s depression, high-functioning anxiety, or some other disability that affects their everyday life.

For Talk It Up TV’s suicide prevention episode, we’re seeking to break down stereotypes about the burdens people in our community face but rarely talk about.

Millions of people in the U.S. experience anxiety or addiction or chronic pain on a daily basis, and not always who you’d expect. Yet we keep these stories hidden for fear of being judged, or shamed, or viewed as broken.

No one should ever have to live in isolation when a sea of people can relate to them.

Do you or someone you know have a story about:

• Depression • Anxiety • Addiction • Bipolar disorder • Mental illness • Abuse • Bullying • PTSD • Autoimmune disease • Chronic pain • Grief • Incurable diseases • Eating disorders • Chronic illness • Financial stress or homelessness

Let’s end the stigma surrounding these conditions and experiences. Let’s unite as a community and show that we’re not afraid to speak out for those who feel hopeless. You can share your story with us at info@talkituptv.com.
